The introduction of Stick Computers to the home entertainment family of products has opened the door to a whole new set of add-ons and accessories. Some of them are indispensable and some are just nice to have. A good keyboard, for example, is indispensable – while a good set of speakers is simply nice to have. Depending on your particular viewing setup, a Right Angle connector can be a convenience or one of those Mini PC indispensables.
Why do you need a Right Angle Connector? Chances are you’ve already encountered the answer when you first attempted to connect your Stick Computer to your HDMI output. Sometimes the connector is just not properly located for your needs. In those situations, you can do one of two things – run a cable from the HDMI out to the Stick, or choose a Right Angle connector to attach the device directly.
If you’re concerned about cable creep and having a nice, clean appearance on your media center, you’ll probably opt for the latter. A Right Angle connector means you can still attach the Stick nearly directly into the HDMI port without having another dangling cable.
When you shop for Angle Connectors, you discover there are a variety to choose from. There’s seemingly one for every direction you want to go – up, down, left or right. All you need to do is choose from among the various angles to get the one that’s perfect for you.
If you’re not sure what will work best, another option is to buy a package with multiple angled adapters so you can try both. It may look fine to attach the Stick going down, but from a connection standpoint you may prefer to attach it from above. Either one of these is covered by getting both a 90 degree and a 270 degree angle connector.
Similarly, if you can only go left or right with your connections, it would be best to get a pack with one of each so you can test either direction. The cost of connectors is so low (about the price of a Cappuccino) that it only makes sense to get one or more of each.
Even if you don’t have a Stick PC or already have an HDMI extender Twisted Veins Right Angle Adapters are still great for eliminating excessive bending of cables when your monitor is close to the wall.
Here are a couple of connector packs that I found that should do the job nicely:
Twisted Veins Pack of Four HDMI Right Angle Connectors
- 270° connector and 90° connectors
- Four Pack for all your devices and monitors
- Gold Plated connectors
- Works with all HDMI Cables
- Compact Design for Tight Spaces

There isn’t really anything else to say – the adapter works perfectly, and the stick not only is out of harm’s way, but it looks pretty cool installed this way.
Bought this bundle and used one of the adapters to position the cable upward and it worked like a charm. Both sticks now fit

Nice 90 degree turn connectors. I needed to have a plug on my TV turned so the cord was not sticking straight out.
These adapters are perfect. They get the cable away from “straight out” and into the direction you want to go.
This is the only brand that also sells and also lets you select both handedness. The quality is great and the connections tight.
